Reconstructive and plastic surgeries are becoming popular all over. This surgery is done in people who have injured themselves in one way or the other. Plastic surgery is for those who want to enhance their looks. It's usually done for cosmetic reasons. Reconstructive surgery is quite popular. Earlier this surgery was affordable only by the rich people however things are different today. You don't need to have million bucks in your pocket to undergo this surgery. It's very much affordable today!

In reconstructive surgery, shape or function of a body part is reconstructed by the surgeon. For example a broken nose is most likely to heal in a distorted way. A reconstructive surgery is required in such a case to get the nose back to normal. Reconstructive plastic surgery is done for both- cosmetic and medical reasons. A patient with a broken nose may have breathing problem, a surgery in such a case is essential. The nose will be reconstructed by the surgery and the airways will also be reconstructed so that the patient can breathe easily.

In comparison to reconstructive surgery, cosmetic surgery is usually done for cosmetic reasons. People go for plastic surgery to enhance their looks or to erase the signs of aging. They can also get a toned body due to this surgery. Plastic surgery tends to make a person look better. This surgery is very popular and people are going for it to enhance their looks. A patient may sometime require both reconstructive and plastic surgery. A doctor will thus perform both the surgeries according to need of the patient.
